Weekend Competition

With Corrie and Dean Hayes providing the trophies for the day, a total of 84 players took up the challenge in a 18 hole American Foursomes Competition last Saturday, a rather unique event for our regular Saturday Golfers.

The event did not cause the winning duo too much pain, in which Jack Hancock (17) and Jake Lambeth (22) scored 41 shots on each 9 for a gross score of 82, following the application of their handicap they finished with a net score of 67.375 just a half a shot over the runner up pairing of Danny Li (4) and Tony Daly (15) who completed their round with a nett total of 67.875 on a countback from Terry Bowe (17) and Noel Allen (18).

The nearest the pin awards were dominated by Greg Harvison (1), who claimed both the 10th and 17th. Danny Li (4) took out the 6th, with Jeffrey Miller (10) the winner of the Pro-pin on the 1st , his tee shot finishing just 110cm past the pin.

Teams with a score of 70.875 or better were successful in claiming a pro-ball for the effort. It is pleasing to see our regular members support Grafton

Golf with sponsorship, and all those playing on Saturday appreciate the support from Corrie and Dean.
